Boy, this quilt brings back memories, it must have been back in 2006 that I made a quilt called Every Woman. There were many women's faces on the quilt, here's two of them. The photo goes with my haiku called Old Friends.
The phone sits silent. Two friends wait for the sharp ring, Missing each other.

When your turn at life is done?
Your voice left behind.
I made this piece by layering multiple fabrics and reverse applique.....it was a LOOOOONG time ago, and I think I've cut it up for postcards or bookmarks at some point. It always reminded me of microscopic cells......now for today's haiku.
The Server is down
The server is down.
So we had tea together
Instead of surfing.
I happened to have a small art quilt I made some time ago that seems to go with my haiku for this Wednesday. I have Valentine's Day on my mind it seems, so my haiku is called Love Notes.
Footsteps down the stairs
Searching for the fabric box
Love notes remembered.
This art quilt was made using leftovers of some of my hand dyed fabrics.....in this photo, it was in the early stages of laying fabrics to create a pleasing composition. I don't believe I ever finished this project. Now for today's haiku:
Quiet Woods
The mood in the woods
Constant, quiet, and peaceful
A squirrel breaks the spell.
