Today's list of TEN include ideas for making any of your quilts more your own......more creative...just an original flair you can add to even a traditional quilt to show your creativity. Here's the list, which is by no means complete. Just a few ideas I've gathered along the way that are easy to do:
Stamp or stencil something on your quilt with fabric paints.
Use a photo transfer to fabric in your quilt.....add a flower if it's full of floral fabric, or a bird, or anything!
Sponge paint on some or all of your blocks.
Take a photo of a previous quilt you've made, transfer it to fabric, and include pieces of that transfer in your quilt.
Sew so the seam are showing on the top......maybe a little, maybe everywhere
Dye or paint lightly over the whole pieced top.....
Transfer text of some type to fabric and insert bits of this in your quilt
Fuse figures or anything to some of your blocks.
Add fibers to some of your blocks.......yarn, ribbon, etc.
Pleat some of your blocks by ironing pleats in place and tacking down with stitching where and how you may like......lots of possibilities.
The photo of my quilt above called Escape has the fused figures,
use of metallic blue fabric that has been ironed over to create a torn
look, and stencilling of the palm tree on the left. Any of these
techniques could be use on a traditional quilt as well. Try it! Better
yet, why not send in any ideas you may have?

Chris - I enjoyed the Tuesday's Ten - very inspirational! Good to see your work, too! Wondering - who are those people escaping from?
