Here's the second piece I created with the spray on fabric dyes. I started with a piece of white cotton. I wet is down by spraying with water. I randomly sprayed the dyes on in long lines at first, then added more dyes as I wanted in different areas. I sometimes added more water here and there to encourage blending of the dyes. Then I held up the piece to allow the colors to flow by gravity. This is the final piece I created. Such contrast to the strong lines of the piece made with the photo matts. I'm thinking of something suitable to do with this as a background.....I think I like this piece better than the first. It could be just how I'm feeling today.....anyway, I think fabric spray on dyes have a use in my world and will certainly continuing experimenting as time and interested allow.
